Batch convert videos on Mac

Choose the preset, trim range, and output destination first. Neocodec applies those settings to the files you add next, whether you drop individual videos or a folder.

1. Pick the preset

   Choose H.264, AV1, WebM VP9, or GIF before you add the files.

2. Drop files or a folder

   Add several videos at once, or drop a folder so Neocodec can scan it for supported video files.

3. Follow the queue

   Watch each row move through conversion. Completed rows show the result size and a Show in Finder action.

Same folder as the original keeps every result near its source and is the default.

Custom folder collects the results in one location. Folder structure is flattened, and Neocodec gives colliding names distinct suffixes rather than overwriting a file.

Ask each time lets you choose a destination when a new app-window batch begins.

Use the plus button in Settings ▸ Presets to create a named preset with its own format and settings. It appears as an app chip and is available to the command-line tool, which makes it useful for recurring batches.

Custom presets do not add Finder menu entries. To keep Finder involved, edit one of the seven built-ins instead. That saved edit applies to its app chip, Finder Quick Action, and command-line preset.

Folder scans include ordinary subfolders but skip application bundles, Photos libraries, and Final Cut libraries. That keeps a broad folder drop from walking into packages that happen to contain media.

Keep batches consistent. A trim entered in the app applies to every file in that newly queued batch. Finder Quick Actions always convert the whole selected file.
