What changed
- Trim each file with visual handles or numeric fields. Preview the selected range, nudge either edge, and undo editor changes. Batch trim can supply defaults while each file keeps its own range when needed.
- Visual handles open automatically for supported media. Optional tools stay under More trim options, and scaled controls keep Apply and Cancel within reach. New windows make room for the expanded action row at your chosen interface scale.
- Switching to detailed editing asks what to do with unconfirmed handle changes before enabling numeric and clip controls.
- Export multiple named clips, split a video into equal parts, or join kept ranges from one source. Clip lists can be saved and reopened, with chapter import and silence suggestions available for faster setup.
- Fast cut copies supported video and audio without re-encoding. Review its keyframe-aligned range before export because the copied boundaries can extend beyond your selection. Choose a conversion preset when you need the requested range re-encoded.
- Waveform and keyframe guides help with detailed edits. Numeric editing remains available when macOS cannot play the source format in the preview.
- The command-line tool adds
cut, JSON dry runs, cut suggestions, named segments, saved clip lists, and split and join options. Each command's--helplists its accepted flags. Neocodec checks clip lists before importing them, and related errors display safely in Terminal.
Fast cut and privacy
Fast cut follows keyframe boundaries. Conversion presets remain the choice for precise requested cuts that need re-encoding. Smart cut is not included in this release.
Trim diagnostics record operation results without clip names, source paths, or exact trim ranges. Media conversion continues to run on the Mac.
